Project
Regional Transit – Sacramento, CA
For Sacramento Regional Transit, branding and design work was undertaken to create a unified visual identity for this multi-modal transit agency. A new graphic standards and guidelines manual was developed as the core deliverable for the project, covering all aspects from the logo to the bus and light rail transit (LRT) vehicles, and all communication materials. The primary focus of these efforts was to realign diverse touchpoints into a more unified presentation of the existing brand, bringing consistency to an agency that had evolved over time with various services and modes. This systematic approach ensured that as the agency continued to grow and modernize, all visual elements would work together cohesively.
The work encompassed all vehicle graphics design for both the bus and light rail fleets, creating distinctive and recognizable designs that reinforced Sacramento Regional Transit’s brand throughout the region. The standards manual provided clear guidelines for maintaining visual consistency across all applications, from the smallest printed materials to large-scale vehicle wraps and station signage. By establishing these standards, the agency was equipped with the tools to manage its brand over time, ensuring that future expansions, new vehicle acquisitions, and updated materials would all align with the brand identity.
